About the Northern Gas Pipeline
Jemena is proud to have been selected by the Northern Territory Government to build and operate the Northern Gas Pipeline (NGP).
The 622km pipeline will link Tennant Creek in the Northern Territory with Mount Isa in Queensland, unlocking the next phase of economic growth for the Territory and helping build a stronger Northern Australia.
Construction of the $800 million NGP Project commenced in 2017, and is now complete. First gas will flow through the new pipeline later in 2018.
Around 200 contracts were awarded across the Project’s entirety.
Please visit ICN Gateway for more information on contracting.
Approximately 1,100 jobs were created during the planning, construction and commissioning phases, with a focus on sourcing labour from close to the Project area.
